The new TCAPS Montessori at Franke Road is a landmark project that brings a state-of-the-art, 84,000-square-foot facility to the Traverse City community. Moving from the aging Glenn Loomis site, this purpose-built campus was specifically designed to support the Montessori method from toddler age through 8th grade.

Highlights:

• Custom Classrooms: Large, open-concept spaces tailored for the “prepared environment” and student-led discovery.

• Specialized Wings: Includes a two-story library, a high-tech maker space for STEAM, and dedicated rehearsal rooms for band and orchestra.

• Nature-Centric Design: Strategically placed to integrate natural light and the surrounding wetlands, reinforcing the connection between the classroom and the outdoors.

Completed in 2023, this modern campus provides a permanent, energy-efficient home for over 500 students, ensuring the program’s growth and innovation for decades to come.
